Image is everything and in this care doing the work to make that image can make a huge difference in ones presentation. The work of Emiko has been on my radar for some time now. A distinctive taste for fashion, makeup, lighting, Emiko plays with these as some in this field would tend to play with graphics. Evokes the pioneering work of Transforma. And while I always tend to have a knee jerk reaction the mirror filter, all is forgiven given the amount of work that is put in to make this material. A far cry from your average stock clip: the silhouette of a dancing woman.

This reel above is also multi-purpose oriented. Emiko is not only promoting herself as a VJ but also as a photographer, videographer and choreographer.

Is there a narrative? Not necessarily. But you’re still watching the clip right? Although I would be curious to see what happens should Emiko decide to incorporate one into her world.
