Paint Modul8 + Lemur = Live Generative Visuals

The Paint module is one of Modul8′s best hidden gems. It allows you to open up Modul8 and make visuals without importing one single piece of media. If you combine it with all of the existing functions of the FX panels you can keep yourself busy for hours. Tim Feshke takes this concept a bit further by utilizing the power of the Lemur to let the lines oscillate within Modul8 and do their own thing.

Skeleton Dance by Txo!?

I just received this from from Txo!? A simple but fun and effective use of Sound Analysis plugged into the scratch knob to make the clip jump forward to the time of the music. This follows all of the little principles that I hold near and dear to my heart when it comes to visuals. Simple and to the point.

*** Edit ***
He actually did not use a QuickTime movie at all!

Pupped Modul8

Smartly, all of the elements are still PNG files. He did use the Sound Analysis to move the different layers along with the (as) Sound Router.

As is in keeping with my standard, I liked what I saw. The technique is secondary to the achievement of making me smile. That is generally a winning formula when it comes to an audience.
