Spetto & Zaz talk Modul8 on Brazilian National TV

Continuing along with this ‘blog as scrapbook’ theme, the VJ Tourna is now over and garnering a surprising amount of media exposure.

Here is another article that focuses primarily on the tournament itself. The guy with the Modul8 t-shirt (Brazil Edition) won first place and will be competing in VJ Tourna Budapest. The runners up, Erms and Impar were stiff competition. It was very tough for the jury (one of them being me) to come to a final decision.

Beyond having witnessed some great VJing in the Tournament vein I was also thrilled with the way all the participants stayed after they were eliminated to cheer their fellow VJs on. A lovingly rowdy bunch they fed off the tension as if it were fine wine. This would be my fourth VJ Tournament and this one definitely stands at the top in terms of sheer energy and enthusiasm.

How many TH2Go can you use?

The answer of the Vienna based 4youreye, Lichtapette and Kraftwerk.at is 15 with a total output of 42 displays.

Created for Club Vanilli in Linz, Austria, the trio assembled 3 Mac Pros and synchronized them using MIDI. Each machine is running Modu8 of course. If you can read German the full article can be read here.

Modul8 mini tour in Brazil

Modul8/Brazil mini tour

The Modul8 Team has been invited to Brazil by Pedro Zaz to do some VJing Video Ataq in Rio de Janeiro, do a workshop at VJ Tourna in São Paulo along with presiding as judges for the tournament itself.

We have heard a lot about how much VJs in Brazil love Modul8. It will be nice to witness this enthusiasm first hand, meet people and see how they are using the software as well as provide insights into how we use it. We will be bringing several controllers that we like along with some DMX hardware.

For precise dates have a look at our events page.

Beyond the dates on the events page we will be in São Paulo until the 25th, so feel free to contact us if you are not able to make it to any of the events listed.
