Instead of getting his teeth pulled, Gary Oldknow uses modul8 for some large spherical projections in Copenhagen and the recent Winter Olympics in Vancouver. It should be noted that the actual geometric transformations are achieved using a custom system. Modul8 was used, where it shines best, for the content delivery. Gary notes that one of the challenges is creating lots of content in short amount of time. A lot of raw content was delivered from clients and instead of having to run the material through a compositing and rendering program they could just drop it all into modul8 and create fresh content on the spot.
